"REVOMED Group and Mahidol University Sign MOU to Develop Anti-Aging Innovations and Health Products. Songkran Techanarong Announced as the First Presenter of Their Innovative Pilot Products."

"REVOMED Group Co Ltd, a leading manufacturer of food supplements, health, and beauty products, and Mahidol University’s Faculty of Public Health have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). This agreement aims to foster cooperation in the research and development of innovative healthcare products, enhance knowledge and skills, and build the brand.

The signing ceremony was held at Mahidol University. Representing REVOMED Group at the ceremony were Dr. Wasana Intasang, Chairperson, and Mr. Siripong Sisaiprai, Managing Director. Mahidol University was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarawut Thepanondh, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Patcharanee Pavadhgul, Head of the Nutrition Department."

Dr. Wasana Intasang commented on the cooperation, “This cooperation will bring health product industry and disease prevention in Thailand to another level. It combines REVOMED Group’s goal of delivering deliver our innovations and high quality products to the general public with Mahidol University’s expertise in research and development. The result will be great products with proven efficiency and high potential for export market.”

The first product under this cooperation will be the anti-aging coffee developed by Mahidol University’s Faculty of Public Health. A leading Thai celebrity, Songkran Techanarong will be the presenter of this pilot product.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarawut added, “We are thrilled to work with REVOMED Group on innovations, research, and the development of not only high-quality health products but also the development of people through training programs, marketing, and brand-building initiatives. This cooperation will be a major step in strengthening academic collaboration, enhancing our research and development network, and expanding our body of knowledge in nutrition. It will significantly support the country’s health promotion and disease prevention efforts.”

Under this 5-year cooperation, Mahidol University will provide a comprehensive support to REVOMED in all health product development as well as business and marketing consultancy.

Both parties will also work on the development of health product innovation, using mainly local raw materials, and promote the optimization of the products and innovation for public benefits. The cooperation will also open new opportunities for the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University to commercialize the products developed from its own research.

In addition to product development, Mahidol University and REVOMED Group will collaborate in human resource development through knowledge sharing, explore new knowledge, improve capability of human resource through research and training. In the end, both will apply new knowledge to create innovations and to distribute new discoveries to the general public.

The Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, has already begun transferring research and innovative technology to REVOMED Group. The first product of this collaboration is the “anti-aging coffee,” which will be represented by Songkran Techanarong.

The coffee is sourced from research farms in Nan Province. The Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, has been researching the antioxidant levels in coffee from these farms. Results show that the ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) level of this coffee is equivalent to that of 15 fresh tomatoes. Cellular-level studies conducted on the coffee and other agricultural products focus on anti-inflammatory properties (TNF-alpha and PGE2) and anti-aging factors (anti-senescence effect). Future product development will be explored to further enhance the health of Thai consumers.
